IIM Indore

IIM Indore follows a transparent, three-stage, merit-based admission process for the flagship 2-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP – equivalent to MBA). It is based entirely on CAT 2025.

Stage I – Eligibility & Minimum Qualifying Cut-offs (CAT 2025):

• General/EWS: QA 80, DILR 80, VARC 80, Overall 90

• NC-OBC: QA 70, DILR 70, VARC 70, Overall 80

• SC: QA 55, DILR 55, VARC 55, Overall 60

• ST/PwD: QA 40, DILR 40, VARC 40, Overall 45

Candidates must also hold a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) and secure non-negative raw scores in all CAT sections. Only eligible candidates proceed.

Stage II – Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI):
A Composite Score (CS) is calculated for shortlisting:

• 10th marks (normalised): 10%

• 12th marks (normalised): 25%

• CAT sectional scores (normalised): VARC 16%, DILR 16%, QA 23%

• Diversity Factor: 7 points

• Work Experience: 0–3 points

Approximately 1,500–2,000 candidates are shortlisted category-wise. Shortlisted candidates appear for Personal Interview (PI) conducted in multiple cities (or online if required). Minimum performance standards apply in PI; failure to meet them disqualifies the candidate.

Stage III – Final Selection:
Final Composite Score (FCS) for merit list:

• 10th marks (normalised): 5%

• 12th marks (normalised): 5%

• CAT sectional scores (normalised): VARC 20%, DILR 10%, QA 10%

• PI score (normalised): 45%

• Diversity Factor: 5%

Category-wise merit lists are prepared strictly as per Government of India reservation policy (27% NC-OBC, 15% SC, 7.5% ST, 10% EWS, 5% PwD). Provisional offers are released by April–May 2026. The process strongly emphasises academic consistency, PI performance, and diversity. Shortlists are announced in January 2026; final offers follow PI rounds in February–April 2026.
