Admission Process

XLRI Delhi-NCR admission for the 2025-2026 cycle runs primarily through the XAT conducted in early January, with program-specific shortlisting released soon after results. For the Delhi-NCR campus, the flagship two-year PGDM (Business Management) considers XAT scores for Indian applicants; NRI/Foreign applicants may apply via GMAT as per XLRI’s rules. Applications are submitted through the XAT portal where you must also select XLRI Delhi-NCR and the intended program. Shortlisting typically uses an overall XAT percentile along with section-wise minimums in Verbal & Logical Ability, Decision Making, and Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation. Based on recent cycles, XLRI Delhi-NCR PGDM-BM shortlists have usually fallen in the low–mid 90s percentile range overall, with moderate sectional thresholds. Post-shortlist, candidates are invited for an AWT/WAT and Personal Interview; the final list is prepared using a weighted composite of test score, performance in AWT-PI, academic record, work experience, and diversity. Timelines are consistent year to year: XAT registration runs Aug–Dec, the exam is in early January, shortlisting and interviews occur Jan–Mar, and offers typically release by April–May for a June start. If you’re planning XLRI Delhi-NCR, prioritize the XAT exam and keep your documents and transcripts ready early. Unsure about fit or backups? Admission Steps

1

Confirm program fit and eligibility

Decide on XLRI Delhi-NCR’s PGDM (Business Management). Review eligibility, exam requirements, and key dates for the 2025-2026 intake.

2

Register for XAT and select XLRI Delhi-NCR

Fill the XAT 2026 application (Aug–Dec 2025, as per official calendar). In the form, select XLRI Delhi-NCR PGDM-BM and pay the additional program fee.

3

Take XAT 2026 or submit GMAT (for NRI/Foreign)

Appear for XAT in early January 2026. NRI/Foreign applicants may apply with a valid GMAT score per XLRI’s prescribed window and instructions.

4

Await shortlist and complete the PI form

Post XAT result, XLRI releases campus- and program-wise shortlists. Fill the detailed application/PI form within the deadline if shortlisted.

5

Attend AWT/WAT and Personal Interview

Participate in the Analytical Writing Test/Written Ability Test and the Personal Interview (typically Feb–Mar), online or at announced centres.

6

Track cutoffs and evaluation criteria

Shortlisting is percentile-driven. Recent cycles for XLRI Delhi-NCR PGDM-BM have generally required an overall XAT percentile in the low–mid 90s with sectional minimums across VALR, DM, and QA-DI.

7

Receive offer, accept, and enroll

Final selection uses a composite of test score, AWT-PI, academics, work experience, and diversity factors. If selected, pay the admission fee by the deadline and complete verification for June 2026 joining.

Eligibility Criteria

 • Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) or equivalent from a recognized university; final-year students may apply, subject to completing the degree by program start.
 • Valid XAT 2026 score is required for Indian applicants to PGDM-BM at XLRI Delhi-NCR.
 • NRI/Foreign nationals may apply with a valid GMAT score as per XLRI’s score-validity window and application instructions.
 • Work experience is NOT mandatory; fresh graduates and experienced candidates are both eligible. Relevant experience may be considered in the final composite score.
 • No age limit is prescribed by XLRI for the PGDM-BM program; candidates must meet exam-specific ID and eligibility norms.
 • Sectional competence in XAT (VALR, Decision Making, QA-DI) is expected; shortlisting typically applies sectional minimums in addition to an overall percentile.

XLRI Delhi-NCR shortlisting is based on the XAT score, with a common cutoff for all categories. For 2025–2026 admissions, expect the XLRI Delhi cutoff to sit in the low-90s percentile overall, slightly below the Jamshedpur campus. Historically, BM needs a bit higher overall percentile than HRM, and XLRI applies sectional thresholds in XAT (VARC, DM, QA). Because XLRI is a private institute, there are no reservation-based relaxations; General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS applicants should target the same XAT range below. Use this as a realistic target band until the official shortlist releases. For exam details, see the XAT exam, and to check your chances across schools, try the College Shortlister.

Student Reviews

Academics4.4/5
Faculty4.3/5
Infrastructure4.1/5
Placements4.0/5
Campus Life3.9/5
Student A (PGDM)2023-25
Positives

Academics at XLRI Delhi are rigorous and case-heavy. Several senior XLRI professors teach key courses and the curriculum balance across strategy, HR, ops, and analytics is solid. NCR location helps with guest sessions and live projects. Summer placements for our batch were decent with roles across consulting, BFSI, product, and analytics. New classrooms and the library are good; hostels are clean and Wi‑Fi is generally stable.

Negatives

The campus is still growing, so a few facilities (sports grounds, common spaces) feel work‑in‑progress. Admin processes can be slow at times. Cultural fests and long-running clubs aren’t as large as older campuses yet.

Student B (PGDM)2024-26
Positives

Faculty mix is strong — a blend of experienced XLRI profs and young researchers. Placement training is structured with resume clinics, case prep, and mock PIs. For 2025–26 admissions, the main test remains the XAT exam, which keeps the peer group competitive. Campus is peaceful, classrooms are tech-enabled, and hostel blocks are well maintained.

Negatives

Location is a bit far from the city, so commute for events can take planning. Mess food is okay but repetitive. Live projects exist, but you need to hustle to land the better ones.

Student C (PGDM)2022-24
Positives

Placements improved year on year during my time. We saw a good mix of profiles in consulting, corporate finance, analytics, and product roles. XLRI’s alumni network was very responsive for mentorship and off-campus connects. Academic rigor is high, and evaluation is fair.

Negatives

We had a few Wi‑Fi and classroom AV glitches early on. Hostel allotments changed in the first term due to expansion. Some processes were evolving, so expect a bit of adjustment in a newer campus.

Student D (PGDM-HRM)2023-25
Positives

HRM learning is a clear strength at XLRI Delhi thanks to the institute’s legacy in HR. Industry speakers visit frequently and SIP opportunities were meaningful for HR profiles. If you’re comparing B-schools, the College Shortlister can help you see where XLRI Delhi fits for your scores and goals.

Negatives

Alumni presence is growing but lighter on the ground in NCR compared to the older campus, so networking needs extra effort. A few niche electives may run only if enough students sign up.

Scholarships

XLRI Need‑based Financial Assistance (Institute Aid)

Varies by need and available funds; may be partial tuition support or an institute‑backed, interest‑free loan as decided by XLRI’s aid committee.

Applicants submit supporting documents and a brief statement of need; shortlisted students may be interviewed by the aid committee. Awards are usually credited against term fees. This institute aid can coexist with external scholarships, subject to XLRI policy. Most XLRI Delhi admits come via XAT, so plan your finances soon after XAT results are announced.

Evaluation typically considers family income, recent ITRs, bank statements, dependent/sibling education costs, medical expenses, and satisfactory academic standing. Selection is state‑quota based and merit‑cum‑means. Renewal requires passing with at least 50% and required attendance. Submit income/caste certificates and institute admission proof on NSP.

Criteria: For students from notified minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi) enrolled in approved professional/technical programmes like MBA/PGDM. Family income ≤ ₹2,50,000 per annum and minimum 50% marks in the previous qualifying exam. Apply via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

State Post‑Matric Scholarships (SC/ST/OBC/EBC/EWS/PwD)

As per state norms; usually includes full/partial tuition reimbursement and a monthly/annual maintenance allowance within prescribed caps.

Common portals include e‑Kalyan (Jharkhand/Bihar), MahaDBT (Maharashtra), UP Scholarship Portal, and others. Application windows typically fall between August and December each year. You can compare colleges, fees, and aid options with our College Shortlister before you finalize your seat.
