What decides an IIM call
- CAT percentile (overall and sectional).

- Graduation stream and marks.
- Work experience in months.
- Gender and academic diversity points at some IIMs.
Beyond the percentile
Most IIMs give real weight to Class 10, Class 12 and graduation marks, plus work experience. A strong percentile with a weaker academic record may still miss some calls, while a balanced profile can convert with a slightly lower percentile.
After the call: WAT-PI and final selection
Shortlisted candidates face a Written Ability Test (or similar) and a Personal Interview. Final selection again combines CAT, academics, work experience and interview performance with weights set by each IIM.
